At Tampa Catholic we strive to create an engaging and challenging curriculum for all our students.

2025-26 Course Catalog

Each student’s schedule is tailored to the individual’s talents. TC offers four levels of academics: Advanced Placement, Dual Enrollment, Honors and College Prep. Students are not locked into any track and may move to Honors or AP classes depending on performance. In addition, a student may be scheduled in Honors in one subject, but placed in College Prep in another.

9th Grade

Total Credits: 7

• English I (College Prep or Honors)

• Mathematics (placement based on prior coursework and level)
o Algebra I (College Prep or Honors)
o Geometry (College Prep or Honors)
o Algebra II (College Prep or Honors)

• Biology (College Prep or Honors)

• Pre-AP World History & AP Human Geography

• Theology

• World Language: Spanish (College Prep or Advanced) or French

• Physical Education/Fine Arts: Personal Fitness or Theatre

*Students who successfully completed Algebra I in 8th grade may take the Algebra Competency Exam to demonstrate mastery of Algebra concepts. Students who pass the exam may begin high school math with Geometry or Honors Geometry, allowing the opportunity to progress to AP Calculus prior to graduation.

* Personal Finance is a required elective credit that must be completed during grades 10–12.

10th Grade

Total Credits: 7

• English II (College Prep or Honors)

• Mathematics (placement based on progression)
o Geometry (College Prep or Honors)
o Algebra II (College Prep or Honors)
o Pre-Calculus Honors

• Science:
o Integrated Science
o Chemistry (College Prep or Honors)

• Social Studies:
o World History (College Prep or Honors)
o AP World History

• Theology

• World Language: Spanish (College Prep or Advanced) or French

• Elective: One elective credit

11th Grade

Total Credits: 7

• English:
o English III (College Prep or Honors)
o AP English Language and Composition

• Mathematics:
o Algebra II (College Prep or Honors)
o Pre-Calculus Honors
o AP Pre-Calculus

• Science:
o Physics (College Prep, Honors, or AP)
o Marine Science
o Anatomy & Physiology (College Prep, Honors, or Dual Enrollment)

• Social Studies:
o U.S. History (College Prep, Honors, or Dual Enrollment)
o AP U.S. History

• Theology

• Electives: Two elective credits

12th Grade
