Cross & Shield Gala

Thank you to everyone who helped make Tampa Catholic’s Cross & Shield – Our Time to Shine such a successful event. What a remarkable, memorable, and impactful evening! The overwhelming generosity of our community has been outstanding. We are thrilled to share proceeds exceeded $650,000! The funds, after expenses, will be used to support the tuition assistance program and campus facility improvements over the coming years. We are truly blessed!

A special thank you to the Gala Chair, Elena Garcia Lazaro’94, P’21 & ‘23 and Gala Committee members for their vision and tireless service. Courtney Frisch, Director of Constituent Relations & Special Events, is the very best event planner and continues to make us all shine! To all the sponsors and patrons, we could not do this without your support. Thank you! Because of your support, our students and extended community continue to learn, grow, and serve in the Catholic tradition.

Tampa Catholic senior, Aniah Walters ’23, shared her story and gratitude to Tampa Catholic and honored John and Lydia Oliva, Sr. for their generosity to support tuition assistance, making the dream of attending TC possible for all. Affordability continues to be essential to our mission.

One of the great highlights of the evening included the special announcement from Albert and Lynn Docobo of their $100,000 matching gift challenge in honor of the Docobo family. Thank you to Arnie and Lauren Bellini and Simon and Dina Canasi for raising the paddle to support this challenge.

Throughout the years, the Cross & Shield Gala has raised over $2 million to enhance programs, services and the mission of this great school that we love. On behalf of Tampa Catholic High School, thank you again for helping to support the mission of our school and the students we serve.

TC’s best days are ahead!
