Student Clubs

TC offers a wide variety of clubs and activities that round out a student’s high school experience. The list of our active clubs changes often. Students often initiate new groups to meet their interests and TC welcomes these ideas.

Art Club is a place where current art students, former art students and those who have never even taken a class, but are interested in art can come to enrich themselves and hone their artistic skills. Students work on individual projects that they can keep. We work with various media to expose students to new experiences. Come be creative in Art Club!

A crucial element to Catholic education is being exposed to and living out Christian service. The Blessed Edmund Society of Tampa, or BEST, is Tampa Catholic's student-run leadership organization dedicated to serving the marginalized in and around Tampa Bay. This group, modeled after the founder of the Christian Brothers, is composed of Crusaders that have a heart for dedicating their time to initiatives and missions that support Gospel truth.

We meet monthly to share about our life with Christ, pray together, and enjoy breakfast. We also pray a rosary together on Friday mornings for all our Tampa Catholic Crusaders.

If you are a person who loves French music, videos, and cuisine, then the French Club is for you!

We learn French words and expressions while listening and dancing to French music, or we watch parts of French films. Other days we do crafts related to upcoming French Holidays. But above all, we always eat delicious French food and we learn about French culture. The French club is open to all TC students. Come join us!

The Tampa Catholic home and garden club strives to promote a love for home economics and gardening, rooted in Catholic values. Our club members will enjoy our seasonal planting, holiday crafts, and monthly meetings related to these topics.

LO (Loyal) COS (Comrades) = Derived from the line in our Alma Mater "Loyal Comrades Sing".

Each year this group works hard to promote school spirit by bringing students, faculty, staff and alumni together and supporting the athletes of our Tampa Catholic family. The Green Locos sponsor pep assemblies, cheers at games, and are one of the driving spirit forces behind school pride. There are two important aspects of a successful Spirit Club: a really pumped up student body and good planning! From the fun series of events of a pep rally to the signs posted all over the school, its the Green Locos that pull it off flawlessly. Locos are keeping the spirited traditions alive at Tampa Catholic.

Membership Requirements: Tampa Catholic spirit, loud voice, creative mind, appropriate cheering and attendance at Tampa Catholic games and events.

HOSA at Tampa Catholic High School is in its third year. Since our inception as TC HOSA, we have embarked on an effort to expose the HOSA mission to enhance the delivery of compassionate, quality healthcare by providing opportunities for knowledge, skill, and leadership development for our students. TC HOSA helps students meet the needs of the healthcare community. We offer a unique leadership development program, motivation, health science education, and biomedical science programs for those interested in pursuing careers in health professions. HOSA is dedicated to healthcare! By joining TC HOSA, students are committed to training beyond the basic technical skills needed for healthcare. The rapidly changing healthcare system requires dedicated workers who, in addition to their technical skills, are people-oriented and capable of playing a leadership role as part of a healthcare team.

Theatre TC helps students excel in several aspects of theatrical production from acting, directing, stage managing, lighting, costuming, makeup, and set building. Each year we put on two productions for our TC and surrounding community.

The winter production is a one-act show, taking place during all school lunches, and in the evening as a dinner show. The spring production is a two act show taking place over the course of a weekend with several evening and afternoon performances.

Eligible students, who are active in Theatre TC, can apply to be apart of the Thespian Troupe and compete at district and state competitions. The club also hosts Talent Night during TC’s homecoming week.
