High school cumulative grade point average of 3.0 of higher
50th percentile or higher on standardized tests
Satisfactory discipline and attendance records
No deficient credits
On track for Tampa Catholic diploma
Transfer affidavit from current school, form supplied by TC after acceptance

The Transfer Student Application for students entering 10th and 11th grade in the 2026–27 school year is available now. Please review all transfer information on this page prior to applying.

An admissions decision will be sent via email 2-4 weeks after all required records are submitted. Tampa Catholic has limited spaces available for transfer students, and will not be able to accommodate all applicants who meet our admissions criteria.

Transfer Student Process

We are grateful for the many students and families who express interest in joining us through the transfer process. Each year, we receive more applications than we have space available, so enrollment is offered to those applicants who most demonstrate the ability to make meaningful contributions to our school community.

Tampa Catholic does not generally accept applications for local students after the start of eleventh grade. If your family is relocating or faces another good cause circumstance, admission can be considered if space permits. Tuition Assistance is not available for students transferring in the second semester. Families may apply for tuition assistance the following school year(s).

STEP 1: COMPLETE AN APPLICATION

During application windows, this page will have an "Apply Now" button allowing you to create an online account to apply as a transfer student to Tampa Catholic and submit the $75 non-refundable application fee.

Please save your log-in information as you will use this to enroll your student if accepted. Immediately after applying, you will be provided a confirmation email with further instructions.

STEP 2: REQUEST FOR RECORDS

We will need records from your student's current school, including an unofficial high school transcript, standardized test scores (PSAT, Pre-Act, SAT, or ACT), and current courses with current grades. Only if the student is applying to transfer mid-year for 9th grade, middle school records are also required. It is the parent’s responsibility to request/provide these records.

Transfer students must be on track to graduate from Tampa Catholic.

Students who have any diagnosis affecting the learning environment must provide a current 504, IEP, or psychological-educational evaluation. Please email the information to the Admissions Office.

After the required records are received, an Admissions Committee reviews the applicant's file and makes the final decision on admission.

STEP 3: NOTICE OF ADMISSIONS STATUS

The Admissions office will notify applicants of their admission decision (acceptance or denial) by email after the Admissions Committee completes its review. Decisions are typically sent 2 to 4 weeks after all required application materials have been submitted to TC. If accepted, an enrollment fee of $600 is due within two weeks.

When a transfer applicant receives an acceptance letter to Tampa Catholic High School, he or she will also receive the required Transfer Affidavit Form to complete prior to enrollment. This form requires the student's current high school administration and athletic department (if applicable) to acknowledge the transfer and share any applicable information.

Note on Valedictorian & Salutatorian Eligibility: Students must have completed a minimum of five consecutive semesters at Tampa Catholic and be a model of exemplary behavior with no major disciplinary infractions.
