Celebrating AP Excellence at Tampa Catholic!

At Tampa Catholic, our AP program empowers students to take on the challenge of college-level coursework while still in high school—supported every step of the way by our dedicated faculty. This year’s results showcase both the talent and determination of our students and the tireless guidance of our teachers.

2025 AP Highlights

  • 339 students (45% of TC) took 716 exams

  • 82% scored 3 or higher — well above the Florida average of 62% and the national average of 60%

  • 278 students earned a 3 or higher, the highest percentage of AP success in the past five years

  • 60 AP Scholars, 20 with Honors, and 29 with Distinction

  • Perfect 100% Passing Scores in:

    • Drawing

    • PreCalculus

    • Calculus BC

    • Physics 1

    • Computer Science A

    • Spanish Language & Culture

Outstanding results also shone through in many more courses, including Biology, Chemistry, Art History, English, U.S. History, World History, and more.

This accomplishment highlights both the dedication of our students and the commitment of our faculty in preparing them for rigorous college-level coursework. For comparison, in 2021, only 62.5% of AP students earned scores of 3 or higher. Since then, our AP success rate has risen steadily each year, reaching this historic high in 2025.

We are expanding opportunities even further. Starting in 2025–26, incoming freshmen will take AP Human Geography or the new Pre-AP World course, building the foundation for future AP success.

Congratulations to our Crusaders and faculty for these remarkable achievements—we celebrate your hard work, perseverance, and commitment to excellence!
