Meet Rick Silva '78, Tampa Catholic's New Head Golf Coach

We're thrilled to introduce Tampa Catholic High School's new Head Golf Coach, Rick Silva ‘78! Coach Silva’s deep ties to the Tampa Bay area and lifelong passion for golf make him the ideal leader for our program. As a Tampa Catholic alumni from the Class of 1978, Coach Silva brings not only a wealth of experience but also a profound understanding of our school's values and traditions.

With a golfing journey that began at the age of 10, Coach Silva has honed his skills over the years, earning accolades such as the City of Tampa Junior Golf Champion in 1976 and consecutive Senior Club Champion titles at The Club at Cheval in 2021 and 2022. His dedication to the sport extends beyond personal achievements, as he currently serves as the Tournament Director for the Cheval Men’s Golf Association.

Coach Silva is eager to make a positive impact on our golf program, guiding our student-athletes to success both on and off the course. Stay tuned for an upcoming introductory meeting where parents and students can meet Coach Silva in person, ask questions, and kick off this exciting new chapter in Tampa Catholic's golfing legacy.

Let's give Coach Silva a warm welcome!
