Apr 28 When the call for help after a devastating earthquake hit Ecuador, Tampa Catholic students and staff answered. This 7.8 magnitude earthquake was the biggest to hit Ecuador in decades and destroyed many towns. Social Studies teacher and Ecuador native, Marco Salazar, asked the TC family if there was anything we could do to help his family, friends and countrymen. Every Friday, money is collected for missions. The money raised last Friday by the TC student body and staff will be sent to Ecuador to aid in the earthquake relief. We hope the $1,000 raised helps the people of Ecuador get back on their feet. The Salazar family is well but for many families, that is not the case. Please keep Ecuador’s people in your prayers.
