Sixteen AP teachers from Tampa Catholic gathered in the Learning Lab on Wednesday, March 7th, to provide information to students about the AP courses offered at TC. Students were able to visit with teachers and ask questions about course objectives, exams, workload expectations, and instructional methodologies. Thank you to our AP teachers for their dedication to student learning and success!
Advanced Placement courses represent the most rigorous and challenging level of the high school curriculum. These courses are taught by teachers who are experts in their content areas and require highly intellectual work on the part of the student. Some universities require AP coursework to be considered for admission. Many post-secondary schools will award college credit to students based upon their performance on the AP Exams developed by the College Board. AP Exams are administered in May each year.
Tampa Catholic's AP course offerings include 17 classes: AP Art History, AP Biology, AP Calculus AB, AP Chemistry, AP Computer Science Principles, AP English Language and Composition, AP English Literature and Composition, AP Human Geography, AP Physics C, AP Psychology, AP Research, AP Seminar, AP Spanish Language, AP Statistics, AP U.S. Government and Politics, AP U.S. History, and AP World History.
