Kevin McCarron is in his eighth year as Head Varsity Soccer Coach at Tampa Catholic.

Coach McCarron is a graduate of Tampa Catholic (Class of ‘78) and the University of South Florida. Kevin has coached boys’ high school soccer at Shorecrest Prep in St. Petersburg and both boys and girls at Cambridge Academy High School before returning home to Rome Avenue. Kevin played at TC during the first years of high school soccer in the late seventies.

In addition to coaching high school soccer, he has an extensive background at the competitive club level. Coach Kevin earned a U.S.S.F National “B” Coaching License in 2001. He started coaching competitive soccer at Carrollwood Soccer Club in 1997, which after a merger, became Hillsborough County United Soccer Club in 2000. His club teams have won numerous high level tournaments along the way including three Region Cups, a state title at Presidents Cup, a state title at Hackworth Davis Cup, CASL Raleigh College Showcase, Disney College Showcase, and team participation at Region III President’s Cup. Kevin has former players currently playing college soccer and several more committed to play college soccer next year. For a period of thirteen years starting in the mid 90’s, Kevin was the owner- operator of Bay Area Indoor Soccer Complex in North Tampa.

Coach McCarron is married to Christine Daxon McCarron (Class of ‘81) and has two sons who are also graduates of Tampa Catholic: Brendan (Class of 2010), and Shane (Class of 2013).
