Thank you to the many guest, patrons, underwriters, and volunteers who helped make the 2019 Cross and Shield - Celebrating Crusader Excellence - a record-setting evening for the Tampa Catholic Family.
The 400 parents, alumni, and friends of TC who attended the gala were the largest crowd in Cross and Shield’s 12 year history and they enjoyed an elegant evening of fellowship, fun and celebration of the Excellence of Tampa Catholic.
Not only the signature social evening for the school year, the Cross and Shield Gala is the largest fundraising event and this year was our most successful gala in its 12 year history. The evening raised $351,220 - the most ever raised at a Tampa Catholic event - which will be directed towards the renovation of our Crusader Gymnasium locker rooms as well as the addition of meeting space and a 3,000 square foot Student Wellness Center.
Our special gratitude is offered to the lead patrons - Edmund Rice Patrons, the Betts Family - Dr. Leslie Giglio Betts ’90 and Dr. Marc Betts P’17, 20; Francesca Betts ’17; Rosalia ’20; Platinum Patrons Mike ’01 and Dana Levin; and Gold Patrons Ernie ’80 and Patricia Sims ’82 Garcia.
This event would not happen each year were it not for the dedication and countless hours put in by our parent and alumni volunteers.
