family lunch pass

PUNCH PASSES: As we get ready to embark on another athletic season here at Tampa Catholic I thought this would be a good time to let everyone know about our Punch Passes and how they can save you a little bit of money.  We have passes available that enable someone to attend 10 of our home athletic events for the price of 8.  Our general admission to games is $5, so normally it would cost $50 to attend 10 events.  A Punch Pass can be purchased for the cost of $40 that will give admittance for 10 events with the exception of the Jesuit games and any state series contests, a savings of $10.  Passes can be purchased at any of our home games (cash only) or on the TC website by going to the ticket booth (credit card). If purchased on the ticket booth the card will be mailed to you.  When you consider the over 100 home contests that we will have this school year you might want to purchase several passes.  I know several of you have already taken advantage of this offer. Why not get passes for family and friends and save more money along the way?  $10 saved may not be much in this day and age, but you could use the extra $10 at our concession stands and have a little something to eat and drink while at the game.

PRE-SEASON: Both our volleyball team and our football team are involved in pre-season contests this week.  Our volleyball team travelled to Calvary Christian in Clearwater yesterday for 2 pre-season matches and our football team is in action tonight at Gaither High School in a Kick-off Classic.  Although these contests don’t count as regular season contests they give our coaches a good chance to play against someone other than themselves and gives them and our teams a chance to see where they are at before the regular season begins.

REGULAR SEASON: Some of our teams will start regular season play next week:

Tuesday at TC vs. Seffner Christian; JV 5:00/Varsity 6:00

Thursday at TC vs. Sunlake; JV 6:00/Varsity 7:00

Tuesday at Rogers Park vs. Shorecrest; 4:00

Thursday at Cheval vs. Carrolllwood Day; 4:00 (boys only)

ELITE 24: Senior basketball player Kevin Knox is in New York City for the Under Armour Elite 24 game.  This game brings together 24 of the best high school basketball players in the country.  The game will air on ESPNU Saturday evening at 7:30.  This is the first time a Tampa Catholic basketball player has appeared in this game that is played outside at Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 2 overlooking the skyline of lower Manhattan.  It is a great honor not only for Kevin but for all of us at TC.

Hopefully you can make it out to the football game tonight, volleyball and golf next week, and watch Kevin Sat.   There is no charge to attend any of our golf matches.  We had a great crowd for Teacher Meet & Greet Wednesday night and hope for the same at our athletic contests.  Remember we are all a part of TC Nation and we all are a part of the development of our student athletics on the field of play, in the classroom, and in the community. GO TC!
