TC Alumni at gala

2020 Cross & Shield Gala Celebrating our Crusader Family

The 2020 Cross & Shield Gala was held at the beautiful Marriott Water Street Hotel on Saturday, February 29, 2020. More than 300 guests consisting of alumni, parents, grandparents, faculty/staff, clergy, and many other community constituents joined together to celebrate our Crusader family. We are so thrilled to have had over 70 alumni join us, ranging from the Class of 1970 all the way to the Class of 2017!

This year’s theme was Gala on Broadway. Guests strolled down the “streets” New York City, and then walked down the red carpet into the Grand Ballroom. The Broadway ambiance carried into the Ballroom with the sounds of hit show tunes, and beautiful Broadway themed décor, created by our amazing Décor Committee and the talented members of our Art Club.

In our 4th year at the Marriott Water Street, the event was another huge success. We are proud to share that we have more than doubled both our Live and Silent Auction proceeds since our first year at the venue in 2017!

The most sought-after items of the evening were TC related-apparel and TC logoed item baskets, box seats for Commencement, reserved parking spaces, and reserved seats for the Baccalaureate, Junior Ring Mass and Talent Show.  The popularity of these items is proof that Crusader pride runs deep!

We have so many people to thank for this incredible evening. First & foremost, many thanks to our amazing Patrons and Sponsors. We thank you for your support and your dedication to the mission of our school.

Many thanks to those who sponsored our faculty and staff to attend the event. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Thank you to our families, both current and incoming, for purchasing chances to support the Tuition Voucher Raffle.

Thank you for joining us for beautiful evening filled with wonderful fellowship…cheers to our Crusader family!

Please take a moment to watch the fantastic video featuring our multigenerational families directed by Jackie Rodriguez Keenan TC'97. We have many legacy students and our alumni choose to continue the family traditions of attending TC. There are plenty of 2nd & 3rd generation families that continue this tradition. Here we invite some of those families - parents & students - to describe the #TCFamily in a single word. Check out the history that runs deep, that bleeds green, that keeps our family strong!

Mark your calendar to join us on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at the brand new JW Marriott for our 14th annual Gala!
