Tampa Catholic provides its students with three programs tailored to meet the abilities and needs of each student
Tampa Catholic provides three levels of challenging academic programs:
Advanced Placement/Dual Enrollment/Honors
We have more than:
20 Outstanding Athletic Teams
9 Honor Societies
30 Extracurricular Clubs & Opportunities for the Superior High School Experience
The HONORS PROGRAM is designed for the most academically talented students. Courses are taught at accelerated rates and seek to challenge and prepare students for admission into four-year colleges and universities.
The program includes Advanced Placement (AP) and Dual Enrollment (DE) courses which provide opportunities for enrolled students to earn college credit. Honors, Dual Enrollment (DE), and Advanced Placement (AP) courses have an additional weighted credit assigned in computing the grade point average (GPA) for graduation and college admittance.
The COLLEGE PREPARATORY PROGRAM addresses those students who plan to attend a four-year college after graduation. This program satisfies the state and national requirements for graduation as well as the entrance requirements for a four-year college or university.
The ACADEMIC ASSISTANCE PROGRAM is a college-prep program designed to meet the academic needs of students with documented learning challenges who plan to attend a junior college, a four-year college or a university. A certified Academic Advisor will guide the student in all aspects of his/her academic career. The program provides a learning environment which will assist each student to reach their greatest academic potential.
Parent Volunteer Requirement
Each family with a student enrolled at Tampa Catholic is required to volunteer ten (10) service hours annually. In lieu of performing service hours, a family may choose to pay $200 and volunteer no time.
