About Tampa Catholic’s Weather Station

We are pleased to have a weather station capable of measuring and recording real-time data including temperature, humidity, wind speed & direction, and rain fall. TC is part of the WeatherNet Classroom sponsored by AWS Convergence Technologies. This company owns and operates the largest private network of weather stations in the world. This real-time network gathers comprehensive, up-to-the-second weather information from more than 6,000 communities. As part of this network weather data from atop the Archbishop Joseph P. Hurley Science & Technology Center will be assessable via the Internet to students and professionals in their study of weather.

The equipment, installation, and related expenses were graciously provided by ABC 28 Action News. They have access to the data supplied by the school’s station and will be able to use it as part of their weather reporting. TC is grateful for this opportunity provided by Channel 28’s generosity.
