2006-2007 Boys Lacrosse Season Recap

 

The 2006-2007 Tampa Catholic Boy’s Varsity Lacrosse team completed its 2nd FHSAA Varsity Season with great success posting a winning record of 5 wins and 4 losses against Florida’s best high school lacrosse teams.

 

High points of the season included a 23 to 0 Win over East Ridge HS, a 3 game winning streak to close out the year, and the first ever win over arch rival Jesuit to capture the Tampa Bay “Catholic Lacrosse Cup”!

 

Team Captain and attackman, Adam Steele, made first team all district for the second year in a row with 47 goals and 14 assist.  Attackman Nick Guiterrez (13g,10a) and Midfielder Rocky Borseth (9g, 12a) both made second team all district.  Goalie Mike DeMarsh posted a 58% save percentage only allowing an average of 7.5 goals per game.

 

Of the 21 man roster, the team says its final goodbye to twelve seniors.  Senior captain/attackman Adam Steele scoring power will be missed.  Also leaving are co-founders of the team attackman Bryce Bonsack and captain/goalie Mike DeMarsh.  Other seniors include Dylan Albergo, LB Alcala, JR Baker, AJ Ciccarello, Frank Cueto, John Cullinane, James Frick, Tom Hamberg, Philip Jones, and Matt Whited.
