The Tampa Catholic Lacrosse (LAX) team enters it’s fourth season under Coach Tim McGoff and second season as a sanctioned FHSAA varsity sport. Last season, TC elected to play in the more competitive USLO District 6 in Orlando. With huge school support, the year was very successful as the Crusaders finished second in the district. Three of the Crusader’s games were played against schools ranked in our state’s Top 10. The 2007

Crusader team will be led by returning Captain and 1st Team All-District attackman Adam Steele (senior), who set a school record in ’06 by scoring 7 goals along with 6 assists in a win over Mantanzas High School. Other top returning players include 1st Team All-District defenseman J.R. Baker (junior) and 2nd Team All-District mid-fielders Nick Gutierrez (junior) and Rocky Borseth (junior).

The young but experienced Crusader team return 16 varsity letter winners from last years squad including attackman Bryce Bonsack (senior), goalie Mike DeMarsh (senior), midfielder Bobby Griffen (junior), defenseman Will Greaves (junior), and mid-fielder A.J. Nolan (junior).

The Boys TC LAX Team is well on it’s way to being one of the top LAX schools in the area.

We need EVERYONE at Tampa Catholic to come out and support both the boys and district champion girls LAX teams this season. Once you watch… you’ll want to play!
