TC vs. East Ridge, March 9, 2007

The following article appeared in the April 2007 Crusader Monthly Newsletter.

The TC Boys Lacrosse team turned in the biggest win in school history, beating East Ridge High School (Clermont) 22-0! The East Ridge team was stacked with good athletes but their inexperience proved to be too much to overcome as the Crusaders effortlessly moved the ball up and down the field.

Attackman Adam Steele broke his own school record for goals scored in a

game, scoring 13 goals with 5 assists. Attackman Nick Gutierrez added 5 goals and 4 assists while Midfielder Rocky Borseth added 3 goals and 2 assists. Midfielder AJ Nolan scored a goal and won half of the face offs while Goalie Mike DeMarsh led the Crusader defense to their first shutout game. Defensemen JR Baker and Will Greaves protected the goal, allowing only 4 shots on goal, and provided excellent down field clears to the offense. This game allowed the Crusaders to execute new game strategies and get some valuable game experience for many of the new players on the team.

The Crusaders lost their home game on March 5th to Boone High School 10-6. After a poor performance moving the ball around the field during the loss, Coach Tim McGoff regrouped the team and worked on fundamentals. The work paid off on Friday as the new plays were executed to perfection.
