Mr. Lees has spent his entire professional career in Catholic education. While originally from Cleveland, Ohio, he has spent the past thirteen years at Cardinal Mooney High School in Sarasota. He brings a wide range of experience to his new role having served in the past as a teacher, coach, athletic director, and assistant principal. In addition to his experience, Mr. Lees holds two degrees from John Carroll University.

Chris Pastura, Superintendent for the Diocese of St. Petersburg, noted that the search committee was extremely impressed with Lees’ depth of experience. “Bob understands every facet of running a school. Most importantly, he has the faith and dedication that we need to lead Tampa Catholic into the future.”

Mr. Lees acknowledged that he has a big task in front of him stating, “I am joining a celebrated school with a stellar reputation of excellence. I will work hard to gain the trust of students, faculty and the community and to continue the legacy of excellence and success.”
