Mar 14 The Anne Frank Humanitarian Award honors exemplary humanitarian efforts by high school juniors in both public and private schools. With recommendations from their principals, guidance counselors, deans and teachers, students from the bay area counties who are passionate about changing the lives of others, apply in hopes of being selected as the Anne Frank Humanitarian Award recipient. On Friday March 11th, with family and the Tampa Catholic student body present, Elise Collins was awarded that honor. In addition to being the treasurer of SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions), Elise volunteers her time at Tampa General Hospital in the Child Life Pediatric Center, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and spends her summers helping to create an environment where terminally ill children can forget about their disease and be an ordinary child. We are so proud of all the amazing things Elise has done and congratulate her on this prestigious award.
