Three Crusader Student Athletes Sign Letters of Intent
February 1st, 2012
Tampa Catholic senior football standouts Tyree Holder, Michael Scheerhorn and Calvin Armatas signed letters of intent to play football in college at a ceremony at Crusader Hall this morning.
Holder, who played defensive back and wide receiver for the Crusaders will attend Ball State University in Munice, IN next fall, Scheerhorn an offensive lineman will play for Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, IN and wide receiver Armatas will be on the field for Stetson University team in DeLand, FL.
Armatas and Scheerhorn will eventually face each other in college as Valparaiso and Stetson University, who has resurrected their football program after a 55-year absence, are both members of the Pioneer Football League.
